Unit 1: Glassware, Chemicals, and Lab Safety
Welcome!
We will start the class by going over the safety rules pertaining to chemicals, glassware, and heat sources.
Everyone must read and sign the Waiver Form and Lab Safety Agreement, which is posted under the "Policies" tab.

AP Students
For the first 3-4 weeks we will be in AP Classroom Unit 1 "Atomic Structure". Various practice exercises from this Unit will be hosted in Canvas.

Chemistry Glassware lab
In our first lab, we will learn how to safely cut, bend, and draw glass, and then make a functioning laboratory wash bottle. You can work in teams of two or by yourself. You will need to put on safety glasses (you bring), lab coats (I bring), and when working with heat, leather gloves (I bring).
Important: Always print and bring the lab handout with you!
