Welcome!
We will start the class by going over the safety rules pertaining to chemicals, glassware, and heat sources.
Everyone must read and sign the lab safety rules agreement and the waiver form, both of which are posted under the "Policies" tab.

Assigned Reading
Read "Chemistry glassware, equipment, and safety tips" (posted below)

Chemistry Glassware  lab
In our first lab, we will learn how to safely cut, bend, and draw glass, and then make a functioning laboratory wash bottle. You can work in teams of two or by yourself. You will need to put on safety glasses (you bring), lab coats (I supply), and when working with heat, leather gloves (I supply).  Important: Print and bring the lab handout with you!
